Take Care of Your Wooden Kitchen – User Manual and Warranty Terms
When you choose Drewpol cabinet fronts, you’re inviting nature into your home. Whether you opt for our classic, 5-piece solid wood design or choose modern, flat veneered fronts, you’ll receive a product finished with a refined, natural material.
To ensure that your furniture remains in perfect condition for many years, it requires proper care. Following the guidelines below is essential for maintaining the warranty and preventing permanent damage to the surface.
Daily Care – How to Clean Cabinet Doors?
Use only soft materials: For cleaning, use only a soft, clean, and slightly damp cloth (e.g., microfiber or cotton).
The “dry surface” rule: Wood and moisture don’t mix. After wiping down the cabinet fronts with a damp cloth, always dry them off immediately with a second cloth.
Mild cleaning methods: For heavier soiling, use only water with a small amount of a very mild detergent (such as dish soap).
What Should You Absolutely Avoid? (Actions That Void the Warranty)
Harsh chemicals: It is strictly prohibited to use cleaning lotions containing granules, powders, solvents, acetone, vinegar, or any alcohol- or chlorine-based products.
Abrasive cleaning tools: Using rough sponges (such as kitchen scouring pads) or brushes will permanently scratch and damage the protective finish on solid and veneered cabinet fronts.
Standing water and excess steam: Do not leave water droplets on the surface of your furniture. Be especially careful with the dishwasher—do not open the dishwasher door immediately after the cycle ends; wait for it to cool down and for the steam to subside. Also, be careful of steam from an electric kettle directed directly at the cabinet fronts.
High temperatures: Protect the surface from direct, localized exposure to high temperatures (e.g., hot air from an oven).
Natural Characteristics of Wood and Veneer (Conditions Not Subject to Claims)
Since we work with real wood and natural wood veneer, certain characteristics of the material are completely natural and attest to its authenticity:
Variations in texture: Slight differences in grain pattern, shades of individual pieces, or the natural arrangement of knots are part of the charm of wood and do not constitute a manufacturing defect. No two pieces of wood or veneer are identical.
Natural Movement of the Material: Wood “breathes,” reacting to changes in ambient humidity and temperature. Minor, seasonal changes in the dimensions of solid wood components are a natural phenomenon that is largely prevented by our 5-piece construction; however, minimal stress may occur under extreme conditions. The recommended optimal indoor humidity is 40–60%.
